About The Osgood Street Irregulars website

This site is for the benefit of the friends of Bell Labs who were employed at the Merrimack Valley Works in North Andover, MA. Current plans are to report future events involving the group, to contain some historical local news documents or pictures, to provide links of interest to this community, etc. We encourage your participation by suggesting content and sharing material for the website. New news will keep up viewer interest. Old pictures and articles may result in reminisances and foster renewed contact.

We thank Theo Kuliopulos for proposing a website for this group. He is also sponsoring the domain name as well as hosting the website on a site of his own. The domain name is a play on the Baker Street Irregulars from Sherlock Holmes stories.

We also wish to thank some of our contributors. John Randone provided the issues of the MV Works Newsletter and The Valley Voice. Marion Wohlhieter helped with scanning. John Kenny, Charlie Reynolds and myself have shared pictures of the annual banquets. Rich Maltzman provided a copy of the "In the Merrimack Valley" movie. Robin Edgerton has advised us of access to a better quality version of the movie. Tim Daughters, Frank Provenzano and myself have shared issues of the Pictorial Directories. Pete Meigs shared his collection of announcements of new employees, transferees and temporary employees.

Web development for this site is in the hands of Phil Baun (Contact him). He has just two hands! To share your material here, he can convert some MS Office documents, Adobe (CS4 or earlier) documents, text or email documents into web pages or PDF pages. If digitally prepared documents are provided, priority for possible inclusion will definitely improve!
